The Building Regulations require that new equipment reach certain standards of efficiency to either a “basic minimum” or a “best practice” level. In addition to the legal requirements there are choices to be made regarding the system type, (Combi or Conventional), make and output size of the boiler, and also the controls required to meet at least the minimum requirements of the regulations.
